Literally Get @ Us and Let’s Chat About the App-dates

While you were summering, we launched comments, new content and Readership updates

When they ask us what we did with our summer…but literally, we’ve been busy making a few crucial app-dates, including the launch of our new comment feature! Yes, @ mentions are here, which means you can tag someone in a comment and start a chat. We’ve also launched new app content, have an update to the Readership, and dropped our new Gift of Reading Box. Read on everything you need to know about the latest and greatest app-enings.

Literally Get @ Us: New Feature Alert

We know you’ve got a lot to say, so without further ado…get @ us! With our new @ mentions feature, you can tag a member in your comment and start a chat. First impressions? Plausible outcomes? WTF moments? All fair game. We’re looking forward to seeing the topics that bubble to the top of the feed and connect us to our books like never before. Pro-tip: Keep those notifications on so you can be alerted when someone responds to your comments.

Fact: Books are powerful agents of change, and so are you. This month, your purchases propelled The Readership, our pay-it-forward platform, and helped us reach our goal of donating 75,000 free books. Together with Ann Patchett and Parnassus Books and Book Em Kids, we were able to help get thousands of Nashville’s kids ready to go back to school. Stay tuned for next month’s challenge.

Deep dives (and adventures) are sort of our thing, so congratulations to Shannon S, who totally went there with us and figured out the clues in our ” digital scavenger hunt. If you didn’t guess that Emily and Kristen’s favorite cocktail is the Pisco Sour, don’t sweat it. You can still pick up a Summer Gift of Reading box before it’s gone!

Our latest Gift of Reading box has landed, and it’s already making furry friends (photo credit: Torrey C.) Like a getaway in a box, it comes packed with essentials (including a book pick) to help you escape into your next read. But don’t take our word for it! Courtney F. said, “Loved the summer box so much! Already using the book pouch and the scarf (beautiful!) is tied to my purse. And….I had a winning bookmark this time! A Google Nest Hub!”

If you haven’t yet, head to our shop to soak up the last bits of summer and snag a box for someone who needs a little R+R (reading and rose)!
