Reese’s Book Club and Literati Deliver 11,000 Books to Kids This Holiday

Together with our favorite children’s book club, Literati, we teamed up with The Book Foundatio to get 11,000 books in the hands of kids in need.

Every child deserves access to the books they need to grow into lifelong readers. Yet, we know low-income children often lack books in the home. Enter: The Book Foundation, a non-profit that aims to get quality books in the hands of in-need children throughout Los Angeles. Since March, they’ve donated over 100,000 books.

Inspired? We were, so we asked our friends at Literati, a children’s book club, to help us put the energy of our respective communities to work for good.

And boy did they step up! We donated over 11,000 books to children in foster care, at high risk for homelessness or living in emergency shelters, hospitals and students attending Title 1 schools.

We’ll leave you with this note of gratitude from The Book Foundation founder Ruth Stafford: “Our partnership with Reese’s Book Club has allowed us to extend our reach to underserved children and families so far beyond what we could have imagined.”

File this under yet another reason to believe in the power of book lovers everywhere.
