It’s a WrAPP: The Reese’s Book Club App Launched!

Your read on everything that happened during launch week inside Reese’s Book Club and what comes next.

After thousands of pages, hundreds (literally) of Slack messages, and more than a few sleepless nights, the next chapter of Reese’s Book Club is here. And while we hoped you’d love it as much as we do, we were completely blown away by your response: Within the first 48-hours, thousands of book lovers from around the world came aboard!

More than that, you’re already using the platform to join events, like our first-ever in-App Launch Party, start discussions, and win prizes.

We were thrilled to see so many of your faces at our first ever Launch Party. But, our system was definitely overwhelmed… in the best way possible. But, we’re working to make sure that things run smoother next and it’s much easier to spot Reese in the crowd (yes, she and author Sarah Pearse were both there!) .

Also about those tags… we see you! We’re making it easier to tag your fellow book lovers, so you can see when you’ve been tagged or when someone’s responding to your fiercest book opinions.

Can we follow people on the app? Not yet, but soon. Stay tuned!

The Launch Party crashed/kicked me out, what happened there? Literally, we had no idea so many of you would join us, so we’re working to make the experience seamless for next time.

I couldn’t see any of the videos in the Launch Party? We hear you…fixing it!

I didn’t get a notification, so I missed the Pick Party? Let’s make sure that never happens again! Turn on your notifications in your profile settings.

Can we receive notifications when someone replies to my comments? Not yet, but soon. Stay tuned!

How does the swap, send, or lend feature work? First, we love how many of you are interested in this feature, so we’re going to close this chat temporarily and do some matchmaking. Because books are our love language.

Bookmark your calendar for our next Pick Party on March 2nd!

Our Clue Countdown launches on March 1st, so sharpen your pencils and put on your detective hats because sleuthing out our next pick will win you $1000 in books to an indie bookstore via bookshop.org.

Okay, enough chit chat…said us never. New Club Chats are happening every week and we’ve got upcoming discussions for our February Pick, The Sanatorium, so keep reading to share your Whodunit opinions. Seriously….the ending.
