The stories aren’t basic, but access to great books should be. Yet, in many under-resourced communities, books simply aren’t available to buy, borrow or binge read in one night. With our Book Nooks, we’re out to get more of us reading together by building physical spaces filled with book joy.
Here is an example of a Book Nook we installed in November 2020 at The Wallis House, a transitional housing center for young women and their children experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles.
The Readership, in partnership with The Book Foundation, will install four more Book Nooks in 2021.
Want to support a Book Nook? Good news, you already are! Every time you swipe up to buy your books in-app or transact with us 100% of the profits go to The Readership’s efforts.
